Journal Prompts will help students and adults alike to think and write a response to personal questions. They will probe likes and dislikes and get people to open up and share their thoughts.

Search Engine

| SUBJECT: We have tried to categorize our entries by subject when possible to help those in search of material by classroom subjects. Unfortunately (or fortunately) you will not find many of these items in classroom subjects. It might be best to leave this item blank. |
| LEVEL: Searches may be for any specific levels (Adult, Secondary 9-12, Middle 7-8, Primary 4-6, Primary K-3). Individual files may be appropriate for more than one level. Most of the Darwin Candidates will be ADULT. |
| JOURNAL PROMPT CONTENT: You may use this area to enter specific words used in the narriative to find items. |
| ALL JOURNAL PROMPTS: All Journal Prompts will be pulled from the database if you do not select any search criteria. |

Viewing Records

Once you have completed your search an Text Record List page will appear.
|
| NAVIGATION: The actual number of hits is indicated on the top right of the list indicating that you are seeing (Records 1-25 of ####). Navigation indicating "First", "Previous", "Next", and "Last" also appear. |
| ORDER OF RECORDS: All records will initially appear in alphabetical order by the JOURNAL PROMPT. |
| REORDERING RECORDS: The top line of the chart of selected records indicates the information in the columns. Selecting any of these will reorder all the records alphabetically. Selecting a column the first time will set the order to "ascending" and a second time to "descending". |
